Our Mission

Active-Soles was founded by a certified athletic trainer, pedorthist and avid athlete whose goal is to help people remain active through all stages of life.

If you have chronic pain it can be difficult to get through the day, much less exercise. Custom orthotics properly align the entire body from the ground up. By supporting your foundation and strengthening the muscles that hold this alignment, we can prevent pain, fatigue, and injury, enabling you to remain active throughout your life.

Sarah studied Athletic Training in the Exercise Science Department at Ithaca College.  Here, she studied human movement and kinetics, specializing in athletic training, focusing on injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation.

As a Certified Athletic Trainer, Sarah treated athletes participating in 22 different sports. During this time, her passion for injury prevention grew to helping people stay active beyond their athletic career and throughout their entire life. Sarah became a Certified Pedorthist, trained in fitting and fabricating footwear and orthotic devices affecting the lower limb. After she finished her certification, she completed an apprenticeship in Germany to further her skill in design and fabrication of custom foot orthotics.

Sarah is a dedicated athlete herself, a 4 sport athlete in high school, continuing Lacrosse and Ski Racing through college. As a adult, she turned her athletic passions towards endurance sports including backcountry skiing and Triathlon. Sarah has participated in all distance triathlon from sprint to full distance Ironman. Now, as a new mom, Sarah finds time to get outdoors with her son and husband and enjoys all NH has to offer.

Declan received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Vermont. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA-CSCS), as well ISSA Nutritionist currently practicing as a personal trainer, performance coach and adult group trainer in Dover, NH. Declan has a special interest in strength training after injury and returning to activity.

Declan joins the team at Active- Soles as an orthotic fitter. He will help in fabrication and fitting of custom orthotics. You will likely see Declan at your second visit in Hampton. He will ensure your orthotics fit properly in the footwear provided and answer any questions about the two week break in process.
